Here's a link to an explanation of Critical Mass when referenced to cycling. I didn't have a full understanding myself but this Wiki page is pretty good. There are usually rides like this in most cities. After reading this I think I'll have to join in one of the Huntsville rides and see if its as much fun as it sounds.
